Why The Coffee Circle?

The Celtic Knot Bag

I believe that the coffee experience is circular, not a straight line. When you buy coffee from me, Id love to be part of the journey with you. Whether your are wanting to buy for a cafe or for home use, I am here to help and advise however I can! You are more than welcome to visit the roastery, come and pick up your beans and save on the postage!

The beans you buy are not a finished product…they come to you in a bag with a label, but there is still so much you can do to the coffee to change it’s flavour and texture of whats in your cup. That flavour potential is in there because a certain variety of coffee plant has been grown in certain conditions and then processed in a certain way.
There is then the process of transporting the raw green coffee from origin to home nation port to its point of roasting….and then I roast it! When you brew the beans, flavour is determined by how fresh the coffee is, how you grind the beans, how much coffee you use and the method of brewing. Its a rewarding, sometimes frustrating process but once you have found your method for a particular coffee you have the satisfaction of a connection with a coffee. You are being part of the life cycle of a brew that started 5000 ft up on the side of a mountain or volcano!

At the end of the day we want something tasty in our cup and maybe also to be part of something wider, maybe to give a nod to the community of speciality trades from farmer to roaster to barista that all played a part in that little bit of magic in your cup!
